For atmosphere, look for accommodation around the historic heart of Odense. The streets surrounding the Hans Christian Andersen quarter contain some of the city’s most attractive old buildings, while restaurants and shops are never far away.
The city centre is highly walkable, so the exact location of your hotel is generally less important than it would be in a larger European city. From most central properties, you can reach the main attractions within 10–20 minutes on foot.
The pedestrianised streets around Vestergade and Kongensgade form the commercial heart of the city. Staying nearby gives easy access to shops during the day and restaurants and bars in the evening.
